About the Speakers:
Mike Davidson, PMP, MSPM, is a Director of Global Consulting with over 28 years of industry and leadership experience. He specializes in assisting leading firms in the Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, and Infrastructure industries with Qualified Project People, Business Process Improvement Consulting, and Project Information Management Systems for their Capital Construction Programs. Mike’s initiatives include building Project Management Offices (PMOs), Project/Contract Execution groups, and Operations/Maintenance departments, as well as leading Centre of Excellence teams. He has produced and delivered webinars and seminars on PM Best Practices that have reached professionals worldwide. As a result of these achievements, he was recognized by the Construction Industry Institute® (CII) as an Outstanding Implementer of research findings in 2013. This is a globally recognized award, and has led to speaking engagements and consulting assignments for both Owners and Contractors within Canada and the USA.
Carl Sergeant, PMP, brings an entrepreneurial, results-based focus to his consulting and training practice based on more than three decades of project, program and portfolio management experience. An internationally respected thought leader in the field, Carl has been recognized as one of the fifty most powerful and influential project management professionals in the world by the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) PM Network Magazine. Prior to launching his consulting practice, Carl held senior roles with several large Canadian companies, and draws upon this extensive experience to help create leaders at all organizational levels. As a senior project management executive, he has managed project portfolios valued at over $1.5 billion, delivering in excess of $500 million per year. In less than 18 months he has built cross-functional PMOs on this scale, by closing capability gaps through methodology development, individual learning and coaching and career path charting – all with an eye toward demonstrating return on investment to executive management.
